From another era (and another country)…

A bizarre story from The Guardian: Tony Blackburn has been suspended from his show on Classic Gold for repeatedly playing Cliff Richard records when he was told not to do so.

Seems to me that anyone who listens to Tony Blackburn deserves everything they get. A DJ who was popular 40 years ago playing an artist who lost most of his credibility at around the same time. Naff and naffer.

If your next question is who Tony Blackburn is, my advice is that you’re better off not knowing. However, I believe that Fumier is the expert on this type of stuff if you want to know more.

UPDATE: Was it all a publicity stunt? It certainly looks that way!
