After seeing what a mess a large government organization can make of setting up a website, compare and contrast a simple blog: The Sassy Lawyer. The blog’s not bad, either!

    Just “not bad”? I’m crushed….
Kidding, thanks Chris. Perhaps the difference is loving the site you’re working on, you know.
In the Philippines, there are lots of government sites that are much, much more awful than the one you pointed to. Try http://www.comelec.gov.ph and http://www.supremecourt.gov.ph. Not just bad graphics and layout but bad links and bad updating jobs. And you’d think government sites should be the most updated of all. The Comelec site even uses a free bravenet counter, for crying out loud. It’s infuriating to think that these sites are maintained with taxpayers’ money.
