Couples who have a shared email address.  What’s that all about, then?

I suppose it made sense a few years ago, but these days there are plenty of perfectly good free email services, most notably GMail (more storage space than you could possibly need, and the option to save copies of emails in Outlook), and adding a 2nd email address to an existing account only costs a few dollars a month.

Oh, and people who use work email for personal stuff.  Don’t understand that at all.

And how do they carry on secret affairs!

I would have thought that was precisely the reason for the joint address – no dodgy secret affair emails?
And I know a lot of people who still (horrors!) don’t have pcs at home hence use their work email addresses for everything.

Nah – I don’t think anyone makes a positive decision to keep a single email address, they just never get around to setting another one up. Besides, if you wanted to be “discrete” you could always set up another email address secretly.

Of course, those people who send business emails from their free web accounts are funny too. You know the sort of thing: “Here’s the vital financial information you need to make this multi-million dollar decision” from fluffybunny99@hotmail.com.
