I wonder how they help?  Maybe they keep a large sledgehammer in the office for just such an occasion, or perhaps they are trained to use wrecking balls…

    Yeah, it’s an easy decision for the SAR government officials to knock down somebody else’s home, but they’ll offer a little money and some social worker’s time to try to distract the folks losing their homes and sometimes their link to a lifetime’s worth of memories from blaming the government officials for caring more about the government’s cronies’ future profits than about the average Hong Konger.
